Hey there, I'm Ritz, a product designer on a journey to weave experiences that captivate the eye and resonate with the soul.
For me, design isn't confined to a desk. It's an adventurous exploration, a constant experiment, and a way of equipping myself with innovative tools to face real-world challenges.
I am naturally a supportive, observant, and altruistic person. My greatest joy comes from helping others and receiving gratitude when I alleviate their pain points. I excel in observing and listening to users, consistently uncovering unexpected insights that inform design. My dedication to achieving win-win solutions makes me a valuable team player. When I'm immersed in design work, l experience inner peace, often losing track of time.
Hailing from China, I embarked on my journey to become a Product designer at Cornell University, where I honed my skills in design thinking and earned a Master’s degree in the HCI field. In the early stages of my careers, I had the privilege to work with prominent clients Lutron as well as small startups Scaled Inference. My design solutions played a crucial role in their business successes (see Highlighted Projects).
With a specialization in enterprise software design, I bring more than 5 years of experience in designing comprehensive applications from start to finish. My previous work in the oil and gas industry immersed me in technical workflows and complex requirements, enabling me to swiftly acquire domain knowledge and navigate through ambiguity with ease. I'm eager to embrace new challenges in various domains, further expanding my problem-solving skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Much like my love for scuba diving, where the ocean becomes my Roman Empire, design is my voyage into the uncharted. It's an exploration of the profound, an immersion into the details that create an entire world. I find solace in the ocean's vastness, just as I find purpose in creating expansive, impactful designs.
